Our CommunityGartly & Associates focus' on being part of the community. The staff at Gartlys involve themselves in a number of community organisations. Geoff was recognised for his community service by being nominated as a finalist in The Glen Eira Citizen of the Year Awards 2011. Here are a few of our community activities that Gartly staff members are involved in when they are not assisting clients
Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Rotary Club
Geoff is an active member of Rotary. Geoff's club meets every Wednesday morning at Holmesglen TAFE, Moorabbin. The BMC Rotary club has approximately 40 members and offers a dynamic speaker program. This club also runs the Bentleigh Sunday Market every Sunday at the Bentleigh Station Car Park. There are loads of bargains to be found! It has been proudly running since 1977 by Rotary volunteers and has generated over two million dollars which has been given back to the community and Rotary projects.
Gartly & Associates is part of the local Ormond Community.and is located in the strip known as the North Road Ormond Shops Geoff is Treasurer of the Ormond Traders' Association.
After ten years without a bank, Ormond now has its own Bendigo Community Bank. The Bank commenced trading in June 2010. Geoff is a Director and Treasurer of the Ormond McKinnon Community Bank. The Bank is located at 485 North Road, Ormond, opposite the station. Drop in and meet the team. Tony is also the Treasurer at the Baumaris Community Bank
Our staff and their kids are into outdoor adventure. Staff families attend Joeys, Cubs or Scouts at 5/6th Central Moorabbin Scout Group Greg is currently Assistant Branch Commissioner for Rovers, Tony is the Treasurer 1st Mordialloc Scout Group and Geoff achieved his Queen Scout Award during his time in Scouts.
